Odd Future’s missing member Earl Sweatshirt reportedly turned up to school in California on Monday morning. A student from New Roads School in Santa Monica sent complex magazine an anonymous message:
Thought you’d find it interesting, I go to New Roads in Santa Monica and Earl just showed up to finish his senior year and shit. Yea he just came outta nowhere haha
Last week Odd Future fans were sent into a frenzy when a Twitter account (@earlxsweat) was opened that appeared to be the missing Earl. The accounts’ first tweet was ‘home’ followed by a link to a YouTube clip (below) that featured Earl encouraging 50,000 users to follow his Twitter account in order to hear his new track. In no time he had 50,000 followers and released a new track as promised. On Monday Earl tweeted:
@earlxsweat: First day back at school. Not bad at all. Whatever
There is speculation that the Twitter account is in fact fake and it was only last month that Syd The Kid told Music Feeds she had no idea where Earl was.
Tonight Earl addressed the unbelievers, tweeting:
@earlxsweat: Who would troll for this long?? Are you people retarded? @jesus
