Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros Announce Bluesfest 2014 Sideshows

Following on from their confirmation for Bluesfest 2014, LA outfit Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have announced a run of headlining shows to make the most of the time Down Under. The band will be keeping things East Coast with shows in Sydney and Melbourne to complement their appearance at the Byron Bay Easter weekend festival.

The dates couldn’t have come at a better time given that the 11-piece released their third studio album just last July. The eponymous offering saw the return of the upbeat, glorious sound the world so sorely needs with big gospel chorus harmonies and intoxicating rhythms. Those who are yet to check out the album, produced by the band’s frontman Edward Sharpe Alex Ebert, are directed to lead track Better Days for a solid representation of what the record contains.

No strangers to Aussie stages, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros have clearly caught the bug, jumping at the first opportunity to spread the word that they will be returning early next year. Rather flattering when you think these cats have performed at live music meccas including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Leeds and Austin City Limits.
