Eminem Takes Aim At Donald Trump, Robin Thicke & More On New Track ‘Campaign Speech’

It’s been some time since we’ve heard new material from the mouth of Eminem, so it should come as no surprise that his brand new offering Campaign Speech is an explosion of words, all tightly wound as crams into eight minutes everything in the world that’s currently invoking his ire.

Campaign Speech (below) is a unique offering from the MC, who sheds the beat (bar a few programmed glitches here and there) to put the vocal line front and centre. Basically, in full display of us all, Shady is stringing up people and issues, slicing them to shreds with steel blades.

Some of those who attract the eye of the Rap God in Campaign Speech include George Zimmerman (responsible for the death of US teen Trayvon Martin), as well as other mentions of police brutality. Robin Thicke cops some splash, as well as other entertainers, but Slim spends the most amount of time dissecting Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Interestingly enough, Trump and Shady weren’t always at odds. Upon the release of Encore in 2004, Trump actually appeared in a promo video, literally endorsing Eminem as a presidential candidate.

After posting the track online, Eminem tweeted, “Don’t worry I’m working on an album!” The new record will be the first of its kind since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
