Fiona Apple Speaks Out Over Arrest, Labels Officers Actions ‘Inappropriate And Probably Illegal’

Though acclaimed singer/songwriter Fiona Apple is not one to mess with, it was a bit of a shock when the Criminal hit maker ventured further into the concept than she previously would have liked. Apple was arrested at a Texas border stop for possession of an illicit substance.

Weed and hash to be more precise. Officers boarded Apple’s tour bus before finding small amounts of the drugs. The currently touring performer admitted ownership of the goods, and was then swiftly carried off to a holding cell where she spent the night.

Now with her shows back on track, Apple took to the stage for the first time since the ordeal. Despite being treated fairly by most people, she has explained that the actions of around 4 officers toward her were “inappropriate and probably illegal.”

Apple continues to say “I heard everything you did, I wrote it all down, with your names, with everything you did or said stupidly thinking that I couldn’t hear or see you…I’ll make you fucking famous, anytime you ask and I’ll open up those boxes”. Fiona explains that the details of what she wrote down are forever secured in her head, and will remain there should those at fault push her in any way.

Thanks to The-Music, you can watch below a brief segment of the show where Apple opens up about her experience behind bars. She seems to be handling it very well, and for a small, nonthreatening musician, I’d sure hate to be in her bad books.

Fiona Apple is touring off the back of her very successful recent release ‘The Idler Wheel…”. The album is the triumphant return after a very public meltdown forced Apple into downtime.
