When Swedish sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, who write, record, play, and tour together as the ethereal folk-country duo First Aid Kit, toured Australia back in 2012, high demand saw their Melbourne performance moved to a larger venue, and now they’re coming back to capitalise.
While in the country to play as part of the colossal Splendour In The Grass 2014 lineup, Klara and Johanna will be bringing some of their galloping, otherworldly, stream-of-consciousness tunes to Sydney’s Metro Theatre and Melbourne’s Hi-Fi Bar for two very special Splendour sideshows.
On this tour, fans will get to witness the pair give their critically acclaimed new album, Stay Gold, its live Australian debut, while showcasing their sharp harmonies and uncanny tune-smithing abilities, which create songs that lie somewhere in the chasm between Ennio Morricone and Bon Iver.
