The 2017 ARIA Award nominations have been announced, and they’ve been dominated by rock outfit Gang Of Youths and legendary singer-songwriter Paul Kelly.
Taking home a total of eight nominations this morning — including Album Of The Year and Best Group — Gang Of Youths lead all other nominees, thanks to their latest album Go Farther In Lightness.
Paul Kelly has bagged seven nominations for his latest album Life Is Fine, while rap duo A.B. Original have picked up six, including Album Of The Year and Breakthrough Artist for their album Reclaim Australia.
Other multi-nominees this year include the likes of Amy Shark, Illy, Jessica Mauboy, Dean Lewis, Sia, D.D Dumbo, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Peking Duk and Tash Sultana.
ARIA’s 2017 Artisan and Fine Arts award winners were also announced today, after the nominees were revealed earlier this month. The teams behind Gang Of Youths and Paul Kelly also led the charge in those categories.

The 2016 ARIA Awards were dominated by Sydney producer Flume, who took home a total of eight awards.
