Gotye Australian Tour Dates December 2012

Written by Brayden Darke on June 18, 2012

Gotye will make his triumphant return to Australia this December for some tour dates in his home country after conquering the world (ie: the US). He’ll play concerts in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne – and will feature his 10-piece live band.

His hugely popular single Somebody That I Used to Know (Feat. Kimbra) was voted #1 on the triple j hottest 100 charts this year, as well as picking up Song of the Year in the 2012 APRA awards last month. His success hasn’t just been in Australia: until last week, his song was #1 on the US Billboard 100 chart for a staggering eight consecutive weeks.

The single has also topped the charts in 31 countries, with sales fast approaching 10 million worldwide and album sales approaching 2 million so far.

Tickets for Gotye will go on sale to members of his mailing list and Gotye Facebook friends from 2pm Friday, June 22 (local times). Remaining tickets will then go on sale to the general public from 9am on Wednesday June 27 local times.
