Is AC/DC’s Angus Young Joining Guns N’ Roses On Stage In Sydney This Week?

UPDATE 11/02/17: Angus Young joined Guns N’ Roses on stage in Sydney last night.

ORIGINAL STORY: A juicy new rumour is swirling around the Guns N’ Roses camp right now, with excited fans pointing out what they believe to be hints that AC/DC guitarist Angus Young might be joining GNR to perform at their Sydney shows on Friday and Saturday night.

Taking to Twitter today, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan said that when the band arrived in Sydney, they were greeted by a familiar face…

McKagan’s tweet follows an earlier Instagram post by Fernando Lebeis, who is part of GNR’s management team. The post features a photo of native Australian flowers, with a “Welcome to Sydney!” card signed by Angus Young and his wife Ellen.

“I have missed these two, Angus and Ella. AC/DC Family,” Lebeis wrote.

What’s more, fans who attended Guns N’ Roses’ Brisbane show earlier this week have told the Aussie GNR fan page ‘Guns Over Oz’ that the band played some AC/DC songs during their Brisbane soundcheck, as well as Rose Tattoo’s ‘Nice Boys’ (Rose Tattoo are supporting GNR at their Sydney shows).

So, with Young apparently in Sydney and Axl having toured with AC/DC last year, the stars seem pretty well-aligned for some AC/DC magic to sneak its way into at least one of GNR’s upcoming shows, but there’s obviously no guarantees.

Guns N’ Roses kicked off their 2017 Australian stadium tour in Brisbane on Tuesday, where they smashed through a huge 26-song set list. Catch photos from the show below.

GNR’s Not In This Lifetime Tour continues in Sydney on Friday and Saturday, before heading to Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. See all the tour dates right here.
