British singer-songwriter James Blunt has just announced a monster Australian tour for 2014, with the man behind the 2006 smash album Back To Bedlam dropping a run of dates that will see him hit every Aussie state and territory next May and June.
Blunt has just released his fourth studio effort, Moon Landing, and lead single Bonfire Heart, which sees the 39-year-old return to the sound that propelled him to super-stardom with singles like You’re Beautiful and Goodbye, My Lover. The tour is Blunt’s first time Down Under since 2011 and he’ll be hitting every corner of the country, including Darwin and Tasmania, for a 9-date run of all ages shows.
Queensland country duo Busby Marou will be opening for Blunt on the tour, treating audiences to tracks from their brand-new LP Farewell Fitzroy. Tickets go on sale via a pre-sale for Frontier members at 2:00pm AEST on Wednesday, 23rd October at the Frontier site, with general public tickets going on sale from 9:00am AEST on Monday, 28th October.
UPDATE 28/01/14: The Sydney and Perth James Blunt shows have sold out and so, due to overwhelming demand, a second and final Perth show has been confirmed for the Crown Theatre on Thursday 12 June, 2014.
