John Mayer’s Throat Problems Return, Tour Cancelled

John Mayer has been forced to cancel all touring plans due to the return of the granuloma in his throat. Mayer underwent surgery last October to remove the granuloma, however just days before he was set to embark on a comeback tour, it has returned.

From John Mayer’s Tumblr:

Nothing feels worse than having to break the stage down before the performance, and I mean nothing. I love this band you were going to hear, I love the guys and girls I work with, and the only thing that stops me from devolving into a puddle of tears is knowing that it’s a long life, and the greatest gift in the world is being able to create music no matter what the circumstances.

His new album Born and Raised will be released as planned by Columbia Records on May 22, 2012. The album’s first single Shadow Days debuted March 5 and is available on iTunes.
