Kings Of Leon Perform New Song ‘Always The Same’ Live

It was their first live performance in 6 months, so it was obvious Kings Of Leon were going to make the most of their set at the inaugural Bottle Rock Music & Arts Festival in California. During the 90-minute show, the band took the time to debut a previously unheard token from their new material known as Always The Same.

There’s been a lot of talk recently about the band’s forthcoming album, and Always The Same is most likely the first experience from the release. The song was recorded by a member of the audience who managed to capture a fairly clear, albeit totally bootleg clip of the whole song.

Most people will be familiar with their track Sex On Fire but it seems the over-exposure is starting to take it’s toll with frontman Caleb Followill telling the crowd, “You guys have probably heard this song, so sing it ’cause I’m tired of singing it.” The fans, who have been waiting 2 years for the band to return to US stages, had to wait until the every end for that one, which was followed by a 3-song encore.

The Kings will be performing at Austin City Limits this year, which is a strong indicator these days that we might see them early 2014 at Big Day Out
