Lana Del Rey Has Hit The Studio With Mark Ronson

Lana Del Rey has teamed up with multi-instrumentalist and producer of the hour Mark Ronson to work on some new tunes, which will likely appear on Del Rey’s highly-anticipated fourth studio album.

Ronson detailed his involvement in Del Rey’s recording sessions during a recent chat with fellow producer Q-Tip, which was published in the April 2015 edition of Interview Magazine.

“I’m going to do some recording with Lana Del Rey today and tomorrow. I found this cool old studio out here [in Los Angeles],” Ronson said. When asked if he was producing Del Rey’s new material, Ronson told Q-Tip he didn’t know.

“She has some songs and I said I had some demo ideas, and if they are any good, then maybe she’ll like them and we’ll go from there,” he said.

It was reported late last year that Del Rey had played Ronson demos of songs slated for her next album.

In January this year, Del Rey revealed she had already written nine songs for the follow-up to her 2014 album Ultraviolence. At the time, Del Rey said her next full-length release — which she says will be titled Honeymoonwill have a “more noirish feel”.

Del Rey contributed two tracks to the soundtrack for Tim Burton’s film Big Eyes late last year: I Can Fly and Big Eyes. Hear the film’s title track, below.
