He may have recently teamed up with Paul McCartney, but Kanye West has a ways to go if he ever want to collaborate with Oasis’s Liam Gallagher, who took to Twitter hours ago to label the rapper as “Utter Shit”.
Reports NME, Gallagher sent a series of messages to and about Kanye West on Twitter following last night’s Brit Awards, where the rapper debuted his new song All Day. According to reports, much of Kanye’s performance was heavily censored on UK television by broadcaster ITV, because of the track’s language.
The song, which leaked in demo form in August last year, is the latest cut Kanye West has debuted from his much anticipated upcoming LP and follows on from Wolves, his collaboration with Sia and Vic Mensa.
However the new album cut failed to impress Gallagher, who went on to comment that Kanye’s new music is “a million miles away” from his stellar 2004 debut College Dropout – which Gallagher conversely described as “artistry” in reference to Kanye’s recent comments on that very subject. Liam Gallagher sure stays in the loop.
The Oasis and Beady Eye vocalist ended his spat with one piece of advice for Kanye West, urging him to listen to music made by Lee Mavers of UK jangle rockers The La’s.
Last week, Kanye West said that his forthcoming seventh LP is “80 per cent done” and revealed, rather counter-intuitively, that he record will receive a “surprise” release.
