Childish Gambino is clearly a man who can function on little to no sleep. In between all his other jobs, Donald Glover has found time to drop a track set to feature on Funk Flex’s latest Mixtape Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself?, a demonstration of fine form that is Think Of Me.
The track is classic Gambeezy, hilarious, mind-bogglingly clever and riddled with pop culture references. How good is his Jamaican accent, by the way? This is the first piece of new material that’s pure Gambino since his own mixtape, Royalty, so while it may not ever make it to an official release from this super successful slashy, it’s a good sign he’s got the creative juices flowing.
Gambino had his first ever Australian stint earlier this year for Big Day Out where Music Feeds were fortunate enough to steal some of his time. No official word has been said on a new release from the wonder kid but you have our word that, whenever he releases a track, we’ll be onto it.
