Machine Head have announced Australian tour dates with Chimaira, Shadows Fall and Times of Grace, while out here on the Soundwave 2012 line up. They will play two shows, one at the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney, and one at The Palace in Melbourne.
Machine Head, masters of their craft, have been redefining the genre for the better part of 15 years since their breakthrough classic Burn My Eyes In 2007 they created a masterpiece of modern metal, The Blackening. Critics and fans alike agreed that this was one of the purest, finest, most powerful expressions of modern heavy metal released.
Their latest album Unto The Locust, released in September, still shows that they are still innovative and ambitious, displaying punishing brutality.
Chimaira are proof of the old adage ‘what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger’. This is nowhere more evident than their monstrous new album The Age of Hell, a record fraught with adversity and triumph.
Massachusetts band Shadows Fall will combine honest integrity and violent brutality into one frightening package, they continue to push the boundaries with their mix of bone-splintering aggression and melodic nuance.
Times of Grace sees original Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse leech team of up with current guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. Their debut offering The Hymn Of A Broken Man explores the depths of human misery with artful desperation, heavy aggression and gorgeous melody.
Tickets will go on Sale Friday 16th December 9am
