Marilyn Manson Says His New Album Is “Pretty Violent”

Marilyn Manson is gearing up to release his forthcoming record SAY10.

Now in an interview with Rolling Stone, Manson has revealed that the new record one of his most violent but least emotional albums.

“It’s pretty violent in its nature for some reason,” he says. “And it’s not emotional in the same way. It’s got a chip on its shoulder. I enjoyed doing it. I can’t wait for people to hear it. I think they’re going to be quite surprised.”

Manson also revealed that SAY10 is pretty different to his 2015 album The Pale Emperor – and that it holds more similarity to some of his older records including Antichrist Superstar which will have its 20th anniversary in October.

“The people who have heard the new songs said it reminded them of their favorite parts of Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals – but with a new, different approach.”

An official release date has not yet been announced, but Manson has previously said the new album will come out on Valentine’s Day.
