Mindless Self Indulgence Soundwave Sidewaves Announced

Written by Mike Hohnen on January 24, 2013

Soundwave alumni Mindless Self Indulgence will be taking the reigns for the last addition to the 2013 sidewave list. The electronic rockers will bring with them The Blackout and Cerebral Ballzy for what is sure to be a night of sonic mayhem.

Mindless Self Indulgence have been contaminating countries all over the world with their unique brand of chaos, and why should Australia be any different? For the first time in 3 years, the beast that is MSI will be en route, and with some brand spanking new material expected this year to get them excited – we have good reason to be worried for our mental safety, but fuck it.

Eager to show off the goods found on their latest release Hope, Welsh lads The Blackout are a masterful addition to not only the festival, but also this sideshow. Massive riffs and huge melodies, The Blackout pack a punch like very few others.

Capping off the night will be New York’s Cerebral Ballzy. The mission statement is clear, bring balls back to the music that once had plenty. The 80’s hardcore and punk rock figures are about the toughest dudes to ever wear shoes, as we are all about to see.
