UPDATE 23/04/14: The full Splendour In The Grass 2014 lineup has been announced! Full details here.

It appears hotly tipped Splendour 2014 headliners Outkast have confirmed their appearance at the Australian winter festival a few days early after prematurely posting the tour details on their website.

Although the Splendour In The Grass lineup is not due to be revealed until next Wednesday morning, the Events section of the recently reunited Atlanta hip hop duo’s website has recently been updated to include a Splendour In The Grass show for the festival’s first night, Friday, 25th July (screengrab below).

Outkast announced a 40-date 2014 festival-only reunion tour back in January, which immediately led to speculation that the group would be making an appearance in Australia some time this year. Since then, Andre 3000 and Big Boi have announced and played numerous dates, though until now there had been a conspicuous two-week gap in their schedule around Splendour time.

The pair made their official live return at Coachella 2014 last weekend, and will return to the Californian desert festival this weekend for round two.

Other acts rumoured to be making an appearance at SITG 2014 include London Grammar, Sky Ferreira, Bombay Bicycle Club, Foster The People and Metronomy. The official Splendour in the Grass 2014 lineup announcement is due this Wednesday, 23rd April.
