Paramore Announce Only One Headlining Sidewave

Written by Mike Hohnen on October 19, 2012

Paramore have announced only one single headlining gig while in town for Soundwave 2013. But it’s not such a big deal when you live in that one city. Sydney, we got it.

Despite recently losing founding members, Paramore seem to go from strength to strength with each album they release. Brand New Eyes saw the band take the shape of a much more mature, sophisticated band that presented itself in the pop-punk teen angst-fuelled Riot. The tunes went down great on the radio, when coupled with an epic movie, and also live as the band has rapidly become a touring force.

It is for those reasons and many more why the world is waiting anxiously for the band’s next album. Though it hasn’t been given a name, we do know that it’s an ‘answered prayer’, lending serious credit to the idea that this album will be their best yet.

The band are no strangers to our shores and will be returning to their biggest crowd here yet for Soundwave 2013. Unfortunately for other states, you will have to sit this one out, but Sydney, we’re in for a treat.
