Prince Just Shared A Clip Of His Sydney Show And It’s Kind Of A Big Deal

Prince is notoriously strict on letting his live performance clips surface online.

As anyone who’s attended one of his recent Piano & Microphone tour concerts can attest, the Purple One makes a habit of banishing cameras, phones and all other recording equipment from inside his auditorium, and taking any photos or videos of him is strictly forbidden.

Not only that, Prince rarely ever shares any live clips online himself either, meaning that what happens inside the concert venue tends to remain shrouded in mystery to all bar those who there to bare witness to it themselves.

It’s a pretty big deal then, that Prince has just posted a clip of last night’s performance at Sydney’s State Theatre on the net.

Unheard of, even.

But, taking to Twitter this morning, the artist formally known as a symbol posted a 40-second clip of his live cover of Martika’s Love…Thy Will Be Done, along with the caption, “A SNIPPET OF FINAL NIGHT IN SYDNEY…”

And although the clip only contains audio, his undeniable talent still shines through.

Prince’s Australian tour has not been short of controversial moments or incredible surprises.

Listen to the rare clip of him performing live in Sydney, below.

Cheers to Amy for the tip.
