Radiohead End The Mystery With New Single & Disturbingly Adorable Video For ‘Burn The Witch’

UPDATE 09/05/16: Radiohead’s new album A Moon Shaped Pool has been released. Here’s everything you need to know.

Radiohead have ended days of trolling and speculation by dropping a brand new single called Burn The Witch.

It’s a dark effort from the rockers, filled with some intensely rich, oft-dischordic strings and other orchestral instrumentation – and is the first new music to come from the group since their contribution to to the opening credits of the final Daniel Craig James Bond film; Spectre.

The release comes with a creepy new video, two snippets of which we’ve already seen – as Radiohead uploaded some sneak previews over the past 24 hours. It’s a claymation video in the style of children’s classic television series Postman Pat. Directed by Chris Hopewell, it depicts a man stumbling across the all-too-perfect ‘Model Village’ full of villagers engaging in superstitious rituals – before he finds himself trapped at the centre of it all.

It’s probably safe to assume that this will be the first track off Radiohead’s new album, though there has been no confirmation of that fact at this stage.
