UPDATE 26/08/16: FOX News presenter Greg Gutfeld has continued his assault on the Red Hot Chili Peppers, labelling them “the worst band in the universe.”
The lemmings over at FOX News have pelted us with their two cents yet again, this time regarding the current start of iconic funk rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers.
During a monologue that is sure to invoke the ire of the band’s passionate fanbase, one host straight up labeled them, “the worst band on the planet.”
It’s unlike FOX News to let a nice thing stay nice. Upon learning of Flea’s recent jam with Koko the gorilla, the band caught gaze of the network who wasted no time absolutely crushing the fun and joy out of the magical moment shared between man and beast.
Referring to the moment in the footage when Koko strums Flea’s bass, Greg Gutfeld, one of five heads on the panel The Five, commented, “as most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers —the worst band on the planet.”
The unprovoked diatribe continued with Gutfeld finding a way to take it even lower by saying, “the ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis.”
“Red Hot Chili Peppers [are the] poor man’s Faith No More. Don’t ever forget it.”
Another co-host Eric Bolling attempted to mediate, adding, “I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, big fan.”
Fair point, Gutfeld, now tell us about your new album?
