Rod Stewart will be serving up The Hits next March. Hot off the heels of a series of sold-out summer concerts and a well-received performance at the opening of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the living legend will bring his The Hits Tour Down Under for a seven-date trek around the country.
The iconic singer’s Australian itinerary will include performances in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, and Brisbane, plus two special outdoor concerts at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley and Hanging Rock in Macedon, Victoria, making Stewart the first artist to perform at Hanging Rock on multiple tours.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Australia and New Zealand next year,” said the former frontman of influential bands like The Jeff Beck Group and Faces. “The audiences are some of the best in the world and I’m looking forward to being at my most Scottish for my first ever concert in Dunedin.”
Stewart’s US summer tour was lauded by major outlets as one of the best of the season. Stewart wowed fans with a high-energy show that featured four decades of hits, including unforgettable classics like Maggie May, You Wear It Well, You’re in My Heart, Some Guys Have All the Luck, and Young Turks.
Most recently, Stewart released Time, his first rock album in a dozen years. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number one, setting new records for the singer. Comprising 11 original tracks, it marked the two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s return to songwriting after nearly two decades.
Stewart’s first Australian visit since his 2012 tour will feature special guest and local legend James Reyne. Reyne will be performing hits from both Australian Crawl and his extensive solo career, making each date of this spectacular tour a night of back-to-back hits that no true music fan will want to miss.
