Slipknot Full Set At Knotfest Available Live Through Pay-Per-View

In anticipation of their soon-to-debut festival Knotfest, Slipknot have announced that they will be streaming their whole set, live, with a few bonus features through eventviewlive.com on a pay-per-view system.

Two different options are available, priced between $14.95 and $19.95. The bonus features will include backstage footage, a tour of the grounds, interviews with the festival’s artists which will feature the likes of Deftones, Cannibal Corpse and Serj Tankian and interviews with members of Slipknot after the performance.

According to The Music Network, Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, one of the group’s percussionists explained the mindset behind the plan: “It means everything for everyone to see the live spectacle we’re creating in the flesh, but we understand some fans around the world can’t be at the show. We’ve now made it possible for you to be there in spirit – so join us live on August 18th.”

This news comes simply a matter of days before Slipknot release their much-talked about Antennas To Hell, their greatest hits compilation that will also feature a few new goodies. Both the festival and the Greatest Hits album are the first of surely many new ideas the band is kicking up to further expand their brand.
