Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker Calls Out Douchebag Selling “Bogus” Vinyl Of His Old Demos

Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker has taken to Instagram to call out a “bogus” vinyl collection of his old demos that some turdburger has been hocking online.

KP says the record, dubbed Tame Impala: Unreleased Songs & Demos (which has been removed from a number of stores but is still currently available via retailers like Shuga Records) is a total phoney, pressed from mp3s ripped off his old Myspace account.

“Bogus vinyl of mp3s of my old demos ripped from youtube (that were ripped from myspace back in 2007),” the psych-rock icon told fans today, alongside a snap of the cover art. “Nothin special… don’t bother.”

In an update to the post, Parker later added, “Edit: Hell I’ll release a real one if you really want.” View the post, below.

It comes after KP took to social media to call out a Chinese milk company for ripping off his song ‘The Less I Know The Better’ in an advertising campaign earlier this year.

Meanwhile, although the “bogus” vinyl of ripped-off Tame Impala demos appears to be completely unauthorised, fans will be able to get their ears on a number of previously unheard legit B-sides when Parker drops the new Collectors Edition of 2015’s Currents later this month.
