Sydney cruisey roots outfit The Beautiful Girls have just announced via their Facebook page that their upcoming 10 Year Anniversary Tour will be the last from the band. The extensive 24-date national tour begins at this year’s Splendour in the Grass and then works its away around the country before the band’s final show at the Plantation Hotel, Coffs Harbour in September.
In order to encompass the large volume of music the band has amassed over a decade of writing and recording, The Beautiful Girls will be be playing one acoustic and one electric set each night of the tour.
It’s sad news indeed that such a mainstay in Australian music is calling it a day, but all good things must come to an end. Considering the numerous memorable tunes The Beautiful Girls have crafted over the years, this tour will surely be something very, very special.

Here we go! Yes it has been 10 crazy years since the Morning Sun and we are ready to celebrate with each and every one of you!! The tour will take us back to some of our favourite haunts (24 shows in total!!) in Australia and we can’t wait! Each night will feature 2 huge sets – one Acoustic and then one Electric – covering ten years of songs that will forever remain close to our hearts and souls. We hope you can make it along and share this with us. It will our last tour and our last chance to sing together with you – the TBG Family. We love you all.
