The World’s 30 Richest Drummers

Celebrity Net Worth had complied a list of who they estimate to be the world’s richest drummers. For this elite list, suffering through a lifetime of ‘stupid drummer‘ jokes – ” What do you call a drummer that breaks up with his girlfriend? Homeless” – has paid off big time. Indeed the last laugh has been had by these multimillionaires who instead of making aggressively mediocre money working some desk job, made a fortune by aggressively beating the shit out of their drum kits.

At a cool $300 million the list is unsurprisingly topped by Ringo Starr, drummer of the world’s most celebrated band in history, The Beatles. Only $50 million behind the number one spot is Phil Collins, who is very closely followed by the highly likeable Dave Grohl, making up the top 3 with an estimated worth of $225 million. Grohl’s Foo Fighter bandmate Taylor Hawkins came in at 27 with a meagre $20 mil.

Other names that stand out on the list include Lars Ulrich who, as pointed out by Loudwire, is still living in luxury despite the efforts of Napster; Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who will be in Australia early next year as part of the Big Day Out 2013 lineup; and Travis Barker who will be joining his band Blink 182 when the pop-punk trio come out for Soundwave 2013.

Celebrity Net Worth crunched the numbers based on the following factors…

***The figures contained in this list were acquired from all publicly available information including salaries, real estate holdings, divorces, record sales, royalties and endorsements. The final net worths come from a formula that takes out taxes, manager’s fees, agents’ fees, and lifestyle.***
