Luke Dalton, who goes by the moniker Tincture, has cemented his position as one of Australia’s up-and-coming EDM producers and his impending debut EP, set for a 2014 release, is sure to turn heads. Tryst, a collaboration with Hazel Brown, is the opening track of the release.
The 23-year-old Tincture has been hard at work releasing mixtape after mixtape and a string of critically-lauded remixes. The sheer quality of Tincture’s output, which combines a rustic, bedroom-production quality with futuristic, sophisticated beats, makes it hard to believe the classically-trained pianist only began producing EDM in 2012.
In the past Tincture has played support slots for Purity Ring, Daedelus and Space Dimension Controller, while receiving plenty of radio love and featuring in a mix by XXYYXX.
Before catching him at next year’s Strawberry Fields festival, readers can convert themselves into Tincture fans by checking out the stream of Tryst below.
