UNIFY Gathering 2016 Dates Announced

After a successful inaugural event this year, the organisers behind UNIFY Gathering, an Australian two day heavy music event, have locked in the dates for the 2016 event.

Punters keen to attend UNIFY Gathering in 2016 will need to mark Saturday January 16th and Sunday January 17th in their calendars. The gathering will return the same venue of Tarwin Meadows in South Gippsland.

Pre-sale tickets for the 2016 event are expected to be released around mid year and, in response to a request on Facebook, organisers say they will look into the possibility of giving punters who attended this year’s festival early ticket release access.

It would be a coup for punters eager to attend back-to-back gatherings, given that the inaugural event sold out in just a few hours.

While UNIFY are not discounting the possibility of taking the gathering to other states, it will remain in one location over one weekend in 2016. No word as to a lineup yet, but names should start to drop in a couple of months. Organisers have previously stated that they have “20 spots for bands in 2016”.

The inaugural gathering saw a slew of Australian punk, hardcore and metal acts on its lineup including, The Amity Affliction, In Hearts Wake, Deez Nuts, Thy Art Is Murder, a reunited Break Even and Northlane. The event was billed as a unique, community-driven gathering with a “punter-friendly” atmosphere.
