Watch: Sound City Players ‘Shut Down Hollywood Blvd’

Written by Marc Zanotti on March 7, 2013

Sound City Players may not have played Perth this past Monday, as rumoured, but they did successfully ‘Shut Down Hollywood Blvd‘ as part of the annual Jimmy Kimmel musical extravaganza. For this particular performance, Dave Grohl enlisted the services of Rick Springfield and John Fogerty.

Backed by the Foo Fighters, Grohl and Fogerty belted out the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic Fortunate Son. With Springfield, the Sound City Players cranked out The Man That Never Was from upcoming album Sound City – Real to Reel.

For now this new footage will have to suffice while Australian fans await their turn to see the star-studded Sound City Players perform. So far Grohl’s supergroup has been confirmed to perform in Sydney, but when and if any other Australian cities are on the itinerary is currently unknown.
