Triple J’s Matt & Alex are at it again. No longer content to be mere voices on the airwaves, the pair have busted out of the radio and into cyberspace with a venomous new gangsta rap, dubbed Doin’ Numbers.
Watch the dynamic duo spit rhymes laden with pop cultural references and even a sneaky hat-tip to Matt Okine’s own bikini pic-liking indiscretion as they wax lyrical about their massive social media gains.
This musical ode to those who rack mad digits on the reg features the fellas rapping at various picturesque locales, including in front of the Sydney city skyline, atop a majestic cliff face, and sitting on the crapper.
It may seem like textbook silliness, and it is, but the whole thing is for a very good cause. All funds raised from digital downloads of the track will be donated to mental health charity, Headspace.
