Watch/Listen: The xx Debut Another New Song In Barcelona

Written by Kiel Egging on June 9, 2012

A high-quality video of The xx performing a new song at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival has emerged. There’s a good chance the untitled/unknown track will be on the band’s forthcoming album Coexist, which is out in early September. The band have so far unveiled five tracks, which will appear on the record – titled Devolution, Leave, Strangers,Closer and Fiction.

After their phenomenal success with their debut album xx, released in 2009, the band decided to settle down and set up their own studio. They recorded their new album in London between November 2011 and May 2012. It was produced by Jamie Smith of The xx.

They’ll be visiting Australia for two shows next month – playing in Melbourne on July 18 and in Sydney on July 20, so there’s a good chance the band might play a few more bits of new material for punters then.
