Making their maiden voyage Down Under for Splendour in the Grass, Zulu Winter quickly became a crowd favourite after they were spotted busking out front of the Great Northern Hotel in Byron Bay on Splendour Eve. They had no trouble maintaining that title through their brilliant set, and now we have another reason to love them: they dislike Nickelback!
It’s always great when you see that band people are just like us normal people. Recently you may have seen a petition floating around somewhere, building support for what some saw as a good cause, preventing Nickelback from following through with their confirmed tour dates.
Though the whole world has been cast in the Nickelback’s general awfulness, Zulu Winter were not afraid to stand up for what they believed in: that Nickelback is a terrible band name, and a terrible band. Both very valid points. Though fully aware of the reach of The Paddle Pop Lions wrath, they stuck to their claims; check out the video below.
In other news, tickets to Nickelback went on sale today.
