Hot on the heels of their latest album, Let The Ocean Take Me, The Amity Affliction have announced their biggest headline tour to date. The new tour will see the Gympie boys storm some of the country’s most iconic venues, with a lineup featuring Architects, Issues, Deez Nuts, and more.
“We are stoked about the lineup,” vocalist Joel Birch recently told Music Feeds. And reading over the list of names, it’s little wonder. Backed by this mega roster of local and international talent, The Amity Affliction are set to play their biggest rooms yet, including Festival Hall and Horden Pavilion.
The boys will be celebrating the release of their fourth album, the follow-up to 2012’s #1 and Gold Certified hit Chasing Ghosts. The album’s lead single, Pittsburgh, quickly brought the band roaring back into the consciousness of Australia’s illustrious and globally respected heavy music scene.
Joining the Amity boys will be UK troop Architects, who’ll be embarking on their fifth tour Down Under and their first trip since 2012. Meanwhile, US outfit Issues will be bringing over the metalcore chops that saw their debut album hit #9 in the US Billboard Chart and take the scene by storm.
Long Island’s Stray From The Path made their Australian debut in 2013 supporting Northlane, instantly connecting with Aussie audiences. They’re returning on the wind of their latest album, Anonymous. Finally, the mega-bill is rounded out by local hardcore juggernauts Deez Nuts.
General public tickets to the Let The Ocean Take Me Tour will be available nationally from 9:00am Friday, 20th June. A limited amount of VIP pre-sale tickets will hit sale 9:00am Thursday, 19th June, with fans who purchase the VIP tickets entering a draw to win a chance to stand side-of-stage during The Amity Affliction’s set.
