John Butler Trio And Illy Announce Queensland Tours

The John Butler Trio and Illy have announced separate tours of regional Queensland. The John Butler Trio, fresh off their latest national tour, will be supporting their album Flesh & Blood, while Aussie hip-hop vanguard Illy will continue to pump his highly acclaimed 2013 release, Cinematic.

John Butler Trio Flesh & Blood Queensland Tour

Queensland punters will now be able to experience the relentless work ethic of the John Butler Trio. Having only just wrapped up a massive tour supporting their latest album, Flesh & Blood, back in April, they’ve now unveiled a fresh run of dates that will see them traversing QLD this October.

The release of Flesh & Blood has seen the beloved trio receive some of the highest accolades in the project’s history and has helped them sell out concerts around the world, while introducing fans old and new alike to the talents of the trio’s latest addition, drummer Grant Gerathy (Ray Mann Three).

October will bring with it an opportunity for Queenslanders to get their live JBT fill, as the band play Kuranda for the first time in two years, Bundaberg for the first time in three years, and Toowoomba for the first time in four. Illy Regional Queensland Tour

Fresh off the back of acclaimed appearances at Groovin The Moo and Triple J’s One Night Stand, Aussie hip-hop hero Illy has announced a series of regional tour dates across Queensland throughout September. The dates kick off 3rd September at the Sugarland Tavern, Bundaberg.

The dates are the latest in a series of Illy tour announcements taking place each fortnight over a 10-week period between now and the rhyme-master’s highly anticipated performance Splendour In The Grass 2014. Illy has already announced dates for regional Western Austrralia and Victoria.

The dates are in celebration of the ARIA Award-winner’s latest album, Cinematic, and what better way to celebrate than by bringing it to the Sunshine State? Illy’s Queensland tour is set to span early September. Readers can check below for all dates, as well as venue and ticketing details.
