Within hours this morning Taylor Swift has already sold out shows for next year’s Australian tour, prompting the addition of a second Melbourne and Adelaide date to her run of all ages stadium shows.
After her first Melbourne show sold out, Swift announced a second date at AAMI Park on Saturday 12th December 2015 as well as a second and final Adelaide Entertainment Centre show for Tuesday 8th December 2015.
This will be on top of her scheduled stops in Sydney and Brisbane. She will be supported at all shows by Melbourne musician Vance Joy, who is also touring with Swift on the North American leg of The 1989 World Tour.
Last touring Australia in December 2013, on the back of her album Red, Swifty will return in 2015 with another hit release in her fifth studio album, 1989, and will become the first female solo artist to play stadiums on back-to-back Australian tours. The tour will kick off in Sydney on Saturday, 28th November 2015.
Tickets Taylor Swift’s new Adelaide concert will go on sale at 11.30am SA time today. Tickets to the rest of Swift’s Australian shows, including the new Melbourne date, are on sale now.
