In news that should really shock no-one, Australia’s pop princess Jessica Mauboy has officially secured hers, and Australia’s, spot in the 2018 Eurovision Grand Final.
The 28-year-old delivered a stellar performance of ‘We Got Love’ and won the hearts and votes of the European TV audience and the professional juries.
This means that Australia will join 25 other countries in the Grand Final, which airs this Sunday on SBS both live at 5am and then again at 7:30pm. Australians have typically fared very well in the finals, as we came 5th in 2015, 2nd in 2016 and 9th last year.
