Here’s When Corey Taylor Says Slipknot’s Next Album Will Drop

Good news, Slipknot fans! We finally have an idea of when we’ll be getting Slipknot‘s highly anticipated new album.

In an interview with Resurrection Fest TV, frontman Corey Taylor unveiled he and the band’s plans for 2019 and prepare to get very, very excited.

“Right now, the plan is for us to be in the studio early next year…first couple of months next year,” Taylor said.

“So, a couple of months to get that going, a couple of months to get production, new masks, new outfits, new everything. And hopefully be able to come and start touring in the summer when the album comes out.”

Not only does it look like we’re getting the band’s sixth studio album in our winter next year, but also an imminent tour.

This coincides with what many thought was confirmation of a 2019 album earlier this year, when Taylor posted a selfie with Shawn Crahan to social media, with the caption ‘2019’.

As for the sound of the band’s follow up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter, Taylor has previously said that it would be “‘Iowa’ levels of heavy.”
