UPDATE: Childish Gambino’s New Zealand ‘PHAROS’ Festival To Go Ahead, Despite Australian Cancellation

UPDATE: Spilt Milk Announces Childish Gambino Lineup Replacements

ORIGINAL STORY: Childish Gambino (Donald Glover) has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour, including his appearance at Canberra’s Spilt Milk festival, due to a foot injury he suffered at a concert in Dallas last month.

In a statement, Gambino said, “I’m not ready to put on 100% shows. Apologies to the fans. I will be back soon.”

Meanwhile, Gambino’s Australian tour promoter Live Nation said, “Live Nation is working with the artist to try and reschedule the dates for a new time period, we ask fans to please stay tuned – any updates will be available on Live Nation’s website, Facebook and Twitter.”

Gambino was scheduled to perform headline shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in November, and was also set to headline Spilt Milk festival.

In a statement, festival organisers said:

“Spilt Milk is devastated to share the news that Childish Gambino has cancelled his upcoming UK, European and Australian performances due to an injury he sustained last month.

“We are gutted that Gambino can’t make it and we know that many of you are as disappointed as we are. Our thoughts are with Donald and we wish him a speedy recovery.

“An artist the calibre of Childish Gambino can never truly be replaced so close to event day, but we will be announcing an exciting line up addition shortly.

“Refunds are available from October 30 via Moshtix until November 1, 2018 at 3pm AEST.”

Earlier this month, Live Nation told Music Feeds that Gambino’s Australian tour was still planned to go ahead, despite Gambino reportedly breaking his foot and eventually postponing the remainder of his US tour dates.
