Brunswick Music Festival is returning this year but not as you know it.
According to a press statement, the 31-year-old multi-venue extravaganza has decided to “reevaluate priorities, reorganise the sock drawer, reassess what sparks joy and revive its entire format” this year, announcing a “game-changing” program packed with unexpected faces and spaces.
Instead of the folksy and worldy artists you’re used to, the 2019 fest will showcase an eclectic range of so-hot-right-now acts.
We’re talking the likes of A. Swayze & The Ghosts, Alice Skye, Bec Sandridge, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks, Cosmic Psychos, Major Leagues, The Murlocs, Stella Donnelly and loads more!
Plus there’s some international guesties in the form of J Mascis (US), Snail Mail (US) and Flohio (UK).
That’s on top of a chocked itinerary of events and performances including a Dolly Parton Tribute Night featuring Oh Mercy’s Alexander Gow, Emily Lubitz, Emma Donovan, Loretta Miller and Sarah Mary Chadwick, a masquerade ball and of course the annual Sydney Road Street Party.
