Parcels Take On A Whitney Houston Classic For Triple J’s ‘Like A Version’

Berlin-based, Byron Bay-bred and Daft Punk-cosigned act Parcels stepped into triple j‘s ‘Like A Version‘ studios today to, bravely, cover Whitney Houston‘s booming rendition of ‘I Will Always Love You.’

True to form, Parcels’ cover of a cover (the original was sung by Dolly Parton) strips away all the orchestra and grandeur of Houston’s version and reworked it with their subtle, understated synths that they’ve become known for.

On top of that, the band performed their own song ‘Lightenup’ which is taken from their self-titled debut album, which was released in October last year.

Watch both performances below.
