Melbourne based singer-songwriter Fractures has just released his Reset EP, and to celebrate he’s doing a quick two-date tour.
As well as the tour, Fractures – real name Mark Zito – has also offered up two stunning acoustic renditions of his tracks ‘Sculptures’ and ‘Recover’, taken from the EP.
Of the meaning behind ‘Recover’ Fractures explains, “It’s about the tension that lingers between two people where there’s obviously an attraction but circumstance dictates the outcome,” Zito said in a statement.
“People can wander into your life and you have a connection with them, an instant rapport, and there’s a lingering sadness and acceptance perhaps that they’ll inevitably leave it without much fanfare, but the inescapable thought of what might have been follows you around and makes you ask questions of everything,” he says. “Not a foreign concept, but an uncomfortable one.”
Fractures will play two shows, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne, and will be joined by a full band.
