Watch Metallica cover ‘I Wanna Be Adored’ by The Stone Roses

Metallica are currently touring the UK, and the band kept up a classic tradition of paying tribute to a local act.

In Manchester earlier this week, they paid homage to hometown legends The Stone Roses.

Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett spent a few minutes covering the 1989 hit ‘I Wanna Be Adored’, sending the crowd into absolute raptures.

“We’re playing local music tonight celebrating the music of this city,” said Trujill.

“You’ve got to sing because I can’t!”

The two battled through the Manchester rain, but pulled off a great tribute.

Metallica touch down in Australia later in 2019, and if this is the kind of local tribute they’re pulling off in the UK, one can only imagine what they might do Down Under.
