Lil Wayne Walks Off Stage Early, Might Quit The Blink-182 Tour Entirely

So, a little while ago news broke of Blink-182 touring with Lil Wayne. Despite Travis Barker and Lil Wayne working together quite a bit and being pretty public about their friendship, fans were somewhat shook. The comments were crazy and honestly, didn’t bode well for the co-headline tour. So now, it’s not really a surprise that Lil Wayne hasn’t made it two weeks on the tour before, apparently, quitting.

The tour has not been off to a good start. It was initially delayed due to “unforeseen production delays”. Now, less than a fortnight into the tour Lil Wayne might quit altogether.

The Blink-182 x Lil Wayne tour hit Bristow, a town in Virginia this morning (their night obviously), and that’s when Lil Wayne apparently stopped his set four tracks or 20 minutes in before announcing he was done with the tour and left the stage.

“Please forgive me,” he told the crowd mid-song, “but I am so not used to performing to a crowd and there’s not too many, you know, like still, that’s not my swag.”

“I’m not sure how long I’m going to be able to do this tour, but make some noise for blink-182 for including me anyway. This might be my last night though.” You can watch footage of the speech here:

Many fans from the show have taken to social media to share what happened. One fan mentioned in a tweet the audience was roughly 7,000 people in a 25,000 cap venue.

Others just shared their disbelief at what they saw.

Some fans believe the below quote from Blink-182’s following set after his walk off is a shot at him quitting.

In Blink’s defence, Mark Hoppus has made this joke in at least two previous Blink-182 shows.

What a wild ride.
