Tool Share New Album Title, Back Catalogue Finally Coming To Streaming Services

It’s a good news day for Tool fans.

The band have announced the title of their extremely long-awaited fifth studio album. It’s going to be called Fear Inoculum and it’s set to be released to the world on Friday, 30th August.

They shared the news in an Instagram post, thanking fans for their patience – the last Tool album was 10,000 Days back in 2006, and fans have been waiting with bated breath for news of the fifth album. No word yet on album art or pre-order info, but the band have promised that more information is on the way.

The band recently performed two new songs – ‘Descending’ and ‘Invincible’ – at their headline set at Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville, Florida back in May.

But that’s not all – Tool have also shared another piece of news that fans have been waiting to hear for years. The band’s back catalogue – including OpiateUndertow, Ænima, Lateralus and 10,000 Days – will be coming to streaming services from this Friday, 2nd August. Hot damn. Tool have long been one of the music world’s biggest hold-outs in terms of adopting to the world of streaming and digital platforms.

You may recall that earlier this month, the band made their streaming debut by sharing their 1991 demo tape 72826 to Apple Music, Google Play and YouTube.
