Everybody be cool. EVERYBODY BE COOL.
Tool, after toying with our hearts and souls for over 10 years, have finally announced the release date for their brand new album and we swear this is better than Christmas.
As reported by Consequence Of Sound, while the band were playing a show in Birmingham, Alabama, the date ‘AUGUST 30TH’ showed up on a giant screen behind the band.
Once it appeared, frontman Maynard James Keenan reportedly told fans to take photos and share the news online.
“Alright everyone take out your phones,” he reportedly said, “security stand down and let these fuckers do whatever it is with their phones.”
As per usual, we know very little about the upcoming album, besides that it will likely feature the two new songs that Tool debuted at a festival over the weekend – ‘Descending’ and ‘Invincible’.
The yet-to-be-titled album is out Friday, 30th August.
