Victoria’s Beyond the Valley festival have dropped their piping hot lineup for this summer’s edition, with electronic dance trio Rüfüs Du Sol and US rapper Tyler, the Creator named as headliners.
It’s been a big year for both headliners, with Rüfüs Du Sol touring heavily in support of third album Solace, released late last year. Tyler, on the other hand, released album IGOR earlier this year and has been enjoying a wave of acclaim, cementing himself as one of contemporary hip-hop’s most undeniable voices.
Other highlights on this year’s bill include Chicago house legend Curtis Jones (aka Green Velvet) and techno duo Claptone, along with rightfully hyped DJ Honey Dijon and grime MC Skepta. Which isn’t to say there isn’t a stack of local talent as well, with the likes of Hayden James, Matt Corby, Meg Mac, The Veronicas and Mallrat all set to perform as well.
Beyond the Valley will kick off December 28th, 2019, keeping the party going until the new year is well and truly rung in on January 1st 2020. This year, the festival is being held in the very lush Lardner Park, roughly 90 minutes drive out of Melbourne.
