Hot Damn, Synth-Pop Legends Hot Chip Have Announced An Australian Tour For Next Year

Last week it was announced that English synth-pop legends Hot Chip would be making the trip to Australia next February and March for appearances at both Golden Plains in Victoria along with Farmer & the Owl Festival in Wollongong.

Now, the band have confirmed a handful of coinciding Australian headline dates while they’re here, bringing their infectiously danceable stylings to Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Back in June of this year, Hot Chip released their first album in four years with A Bath Full of Ecstasy, containing bangers like ‘Hungry Child’ and ‘Melody of Love’. It was the first time in their nearly two decade career the group had worked with outside producers, bringing in the late Philippe Zdar of Cassius along with Roidadh McDonald.

On all headline dates besides Canberra, they’ll be supported by Melbourne producer and funk synthesist Harvey Sutherland.

Check out tour dates below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 25th October but there’s a Secret Sounds pre-sale the day before which you can sign up for here.
