Kaiser Chiefs Announce ’20 Years Of Employment’ 2025 Australian Tour

Kaiser Chiefs have announced their return to Australia, playing four headlining shows in November 2025. The shows are a part of the band’s 20 Years Of Employment world tour, which sees the band playing their 2005 debut album Employment in its entirety – as well as selections from across their discography. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing info, can be found below.

The UK indie-rock band were last in Australia circa 2012, touring as part of that year’s Groovin’ The Moo festival as well as a select run of headlining shows. The tour came in support of their fourth studio album, The Future Is Medieval. It marked one of their final runs of shows with original drummer Nick Hodgson, who departed the band in December. He was replaced by Vijay Minstry.

Kaiser Chiefs – ‘Modern Way’

Employment was originally released in March of 2005. It peaked at number two on the UK albums chart, and has gone on to achieve Platinum certification seven times over by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The album sported four singles, three of which peaked within the UK top 10: ‘Oh My God’, ‘I Predict A Riot’, ‘Every Day I Love You Less And Less’ and ‘Modern Way’. Both ‘Riot’ and ‘Less And Less’ also charted in Australia, being one of seven countries where it did.

Kaiser Chiefs first toured Australia in November and December of 2005. They were the main support on Foo FightersIn Your Honour arena tour, and also played a headlining show at Sydney’s Metro Theatre. They returned in 2007 for Splendour In The Grass, as well as their first headlining tour. In 2009, the band played the short-lived V Festival and appeared on So You Think You Can Dance. They played Splendour again in 2011, also playing a run of theatre shows and appearing on triple j‘s Like A Version segment to cover Mark Ronson‘s track ‘Record Collection’ – which Hodgson co-wrote.
