Everyone’s fave psychedelic genre melders, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard have shared a new single with us this morning. ‘If Not Now, Then When?’ is an upbeat, jazzy track that’s packed with fun.
The musical content machines only released their latest album K.G. last month. While Chunky Shrapnel landed back in April.
Now, we have another single, ‘If Not Now, Then When?’ and it comes with a trippy animated clip. On its creation, director Dr. D Foothead said, “The song made me consider how individual action or inaction affects the world.
“What happens when our repressed pain, darkness and confusion manifest and influence our surroundings and relationships?
“I wanted to explore the journey of a character who has neglected their inner shadow, and how this energy manifests physically and becomes a force of its own.”
Announcing the new song, King Gizzard said, “This song was written pre-covid, but feels even more potent now. Look out your window; the world is on fire.”
